Are you a skeet coach with a high level of technical knowledge? Do you have a solid level of knowledge about physical and mental training (preparation and focus)? Do you have the knowledge to develop athletes into world class athletes (athletes who shoot 122-125 in qualification and 57-60 in finals at World Cup, ECH, WCH and Olympic Games)?

Danish Shooting Union is hiring a skeet coach who works “step by step” with focus on the development of each athlete. The position is a part time work (25-80 %) depending on the candidates level and wishes. Our current national coach wishes to travel less, so if you are the right candidate, there is a possibility to discuss several options regarding worktime and logistics. There is the possibility to work close with our current coach or to take over the team within a foreseeable future.

Your qualifications:

  • You are a high-level coach who works with the development of every aspect of the athlete’s career and life – both physical, technical and mental development but also good diet and that the athletes have a good environment around her/his shooting. In some of this work we have support from the team of expert at Team Denmark.
  • You have excellent teamwork skills. It is very important that you can work closely with our current national coach and sports manager.
  • Your communication is clear and effectful.
  • You have experience of working with world class athletes (This is a must if you are interested in working with us 80 % of a full time).
  • You have solid educational background as a skeet coach (This is a must if you are interested in working with us 80 % of a full time).

The work involves:

  • In collaboration with the current national coach and sport manager leading the development of the skeet athletes.
  • Working with each athlete’s individual development plan and together with the athlete keeping the plan updated.
  • Daily training with the athletes in Copenhagen and national and international training camps with the Team Denmark athletes.
  • Being the responsible coach or assistant coach for skeet during international competitions.
  • Close collaboration with the sports leader group around operation and development tasks.
  • Working in a professionally driven elite section but at the same time understanding the democratic background of Danish Shooting Union.

  • The place for daily work is Copenhagen, but there will also be camps and competitions with the team around the world. We can also be open for other solutions regarding workplace and the level of worktime for the right person (mid-June to mid-July 2020 is mainly in Copenhagen).

The position is expected to be occupied at latest from January 1st 2020.
